Our values

We have a set of shared values that run throughout our organisation and underpin our work to provide homes for those who need them most.

Shared principles

Our values shape the way we work together and with others and define the way in which we conduct ourselves. We’re a business for social purpose and our values have been chosen by our people.

They are part of our inclusive working environment where people are free to be themselves, are valued, and helped to reach their full potential. We empower and enable our people to make a genuine difference.

Clarion’s values are:

  • Open: We build relationships built on trust with shared goals. We communicate honestly and openly share information.
  • Responsible: We’re focused on delivering value and consciously consider our actions and their impact on our people and communities.
  • Respect: We’re inclusive, celebrate diversity, and promote mutual respect.
  • Success: We focus on outcomes and delivering our very best in our shared social purpose.
  • Evolving: We’ve moved with the times since we were founded over 100 years ago and are always looking to improve and adapt to new challenges.

These values shape the way we work together and with others, defining how we conduct ourselves as we strive to make a difference for future generations.

Our mission and purpose

We’re a business for social purpose, with a mission to provide homes for those who need them most. Homes are the foundations we build our lives on, yet many people are denied them. We’re committed to making a difference in tackling the housing crisis and helping people build their lives.

We’re here to make a difference in everything that we do – from completing a repair for an individual resident to helping thousands of people into work or training every year. We’re also making a difference for communities across the country through the work of Clarion Futures, our charitable foundation.

At a national level, we’re lobbying the government to support social housing and build the homes the country so badly needs.
